Provinces, SANA- The army units targeted positions of terrorists that have been intensively shelling neighborhoods in Aleppo city, a military source said on Saturday.
The death toll from the terrorist rocket attacks that hit several residential areas in Aleppo city on Friday has risen to 43, in addition to 300 injured.
The source told SANA that the army units expanded their control in the vicinity of the strategic Castello road and established control over several buildings, al-Thawra and al-Tabegh ginning mills and a number of factories and economic facilities in al-Khalidiyeh area.
With these new achievements, the terrorist groups are having the noose tightened on them in the northern countryside of Aleppo province after the army established control in the past few days over al-Mallah southern and northern farms and the gins, the Police Department’s building and a number of buildings in al-Lairamoun area, in addition to establishing fire control on the Castello road on the northern outskirts of Aleppo city.
Daraa
Meanwhile, a field source affirmed that many terrorists of Jabhat al-Nusra were killed and injured in an ambush by a unit of the army in Daraa northeastern countryside.
The source said in a statement to SANA that a unit of the army ambushed a terrorist group that was moving on the road connecting between Sha’ara village and al-Lajat region near Sweida countryside.
It added the ambush ended up with the killing of a number of the terrorists and the wounding of many others.
Quneitra
An army unit in cooperation with the popular defense groups targeted the movements of a terrorist group on Tuloul al-Homr road in the northern countryside of Quneitra province.
16 terrorists were killed and two vehicles and two motorcycles transporting ammunition were destroyed.
Deir Ezzor
An Army and Armed Forces unit inflicted heavy losses in personnel and munitions in the surroundings of al-Thardeh Mountain to the south of Deir Ezzor city.
A field source told SANA that an army unit clashed with a terrorist group affiliated to ISIS terrorist organization in the surroundings of al-Thardeh Mountain which is located at the southern outskirts of Deir-Ezzor city, eliminating many terrorists and destroying a vehicle for them loaded with ammunition.
