Lattakia, SANA-Delegated by President Bashar al-Assad, Chief of the General Staff of the Army and Armed Forces Gen. Ali Abdullah Ayoub paid a field visit to army units operating in Lattakia countryside.
Gen. Ayoub inspected the conditions of the combatants and the circumstances under which they are fighting, conveying to them President al-Assad’s greetings and appreciation for their steadfastness and sacrifices.
Ayoub also met field commanders and listened to them explaining the nature of ongoing military operations and the level of preparedness for the missions ahead.
He stressed the necessity of vigilance and preparedness in the fight against terrorism, hailing the troops’ high morale and determination to achieve victory.
Gen. Ayoub affirmed that military operations against terrorist organizations will continue, vowing that the General Command of the Army and Armed Forces will spare no effort in consolidating the capabilities of the Syrian Arab Army in cooperation with friends and allies.
The army members, for their part, voiced determination to continue to perform their missions in defense of the unity and independence of Syria.
Gen. Ayoub also visited injured army personnel in Zahi Azrak hospital in Lattakia city, wishing them a quick recovery and praising their heroic deeds.
