Damascus, SANA-Activities of the 5th round of the monthly shopping festival “Made in Syria” was opened on Wednesday with the participation of tens of national, industrial companies specialized in food, fashion and cosmetic materials.
“The festival is a monthly event that gathers all social actives where the customer meets the producer directly without any mediator to decrease the prices of all materials with big sales in a positive phenomenon that requires a support and encouragement from all,” Industry Minister Kamal Eddin Touma said.
He added the festival presents a message that the national economy and industry is in a stage of recovery, particularly as the holy month of Ramadan is approaching.
Chairman of the boards of Damascus Chamber of Industry Samer al-Dibbis, for his part, said the festival will continue its rotating rounds each month although difficulties and the industrialists will continue work, production and sales with low prices in a way to helps combat the rise in the prices of some goods.
The festival is organized by Damascus Chamber of Industry.
