Syrian delegation to Int’l Industrial Forum: There are big investment opportunities in Syria

Minsk, SANA – Assistant Minister of Industry Nidal Fallouh underlined the resilience of economic, services and productive sectors in Syria despite all challenges and terrorist attacks against public and private industrial facilities.

Speaking at the International Industrial Forum currently held in the Belarusian capital of Minsk, Fallouh highlighted the big investment opportunities in Syria, calling upon Belarusian investors to make investments in different tourism, industrial and agricultural sectors through rehabilitating damaged companies and establishing new joint partnerships.

On the sidelines of the Forum, the Syrian delegation met with the Belarusian Deputy Prime Minister Vladimir I. Semashko, with the latter expressing relief over the developments in Syria and its ability to overcome the repercussions of the crisis.

He stressed Belarus’ readiness to cooperate in rebuilding Syria and provide all necessary support and facilitations.

Academic and educational cooperation was also a topic of discussion with Dean of the Faculty of Technical Sciences at the Belarusian State University.

Meeting Belarusian Deputy Health Minister Valery Evgenievich Shevchuk, the minister stressed the Belarusian Health Ministry’s full cooperation with the Syrian side to export medicine and establish pharmaceutical industries or manufacturing medical equipment.

Activities of the International Industrial Forum which were launched on Tuesday will be wrapped up tomorrow.
