Moscow, SANA – The Syrian talks in Geneva are hoped to resume on May 10th, according to Russian President’s Special Envoy for the Middle East and North Africa Affairs, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov.
Speaking in an interview with Sputnik on Wednesday, Bogdanov stressed Russia’s support for having the intra-Syrian dialogue continue without interruptions.
“We are for uninterrupted talks, maybe, of course, the sides need to take a rest, reconsider certain results,” Bogdanov said. “The sooner they resume, the better. The negotiations will resume tentatively on May 10.”.
He went on saying that Russia is in constant contact with the UN Special Envoy for Syria Staffan de Mistura and that it wants the talks to be more dynamic and involve all sides so as for the participants to reach a solution as soon as possible.
