“Tourists of Peace for Syria” delegation visits Homs old city

Homs, SANA- “Tourists of Peace for Syria” delegation visited several sites in Homs old city and emphasized that the countries that have supported and funded terrorism, particularly the United States, are to blame for the devastation and destruction that Syria suffered.

The delegation which includes reporters and politicians from several Arab and foreign countries visited the local market, Saint Mary Church of the Holy Belt (Um al-Zennar), the monastery of Jesuit Fathers, Beit al-Agha and Khalid bin al-Walid Mosque where they had a close look at the volume of vandalism and destruction that these sites witnessed due to the attacks by terrorist organizations.

The delegation said that they will convey to public opinion the devastation and destruction in Syria and the media disinformation which did not convey the true image about what the terrorist organizations did in the city.

They expressed optimism about the stage of reconstruction which began to materialize on the ground especially at the historical and archeological sites which constitute a cultural heritage for all humanity not only for Syria, affirming solidarity with the Syrian people.

The old city of Homs is home to 61 archaeological buildings, including mosques, churches and gates in addition to archeological markets.
