Damascus, SANA – Higher Judicial Committee for Elections categorically refuted media reports on postponing the parliamentary elections, confirming in a statement on Wednesday that the elections will take place on April 13, 2016 as scheduled and according to the laws.

The date of holding the elections was set by Decree No. 63 for 2016, as the candidates are currently going on with their election campaigns, which will stop 24 hours before the due date.
