Russian Coordination Center in Hmeimem: 5 armed groups joined agreement of “cessation of hostilities”

Lattakia, SANA-Russian Defense Ministry announced that 5 armed groups have joined the agreement of “cessation of hostilities,” adopted by UN Security Council in February by resolution No.2268.

“During the last 24 hours, an agreement has been reached with leaders of 5 armed groups to join the cessation of hostilities,” the Ministry said in a statement prepared by the Russian Center for coordinating and observing the cessation of fighting acts in Hmeimem airport, published on its website page.

It added that the five groups, with 450 members, are present in the suburbs of Mahja town in Daraa northern countryside, affirming that the number of “armed groups” which announced their readiness to carry out the terms of cessation of hostilities reached at 42.”
