Snowfalls over mountainous and inland areas

Damascus, SANA, Some inland and mountainous areas witnessed snowfalls on  Friday and Saturday.
Weather forecaster Maher Murhej from Meteorology Department told SANA Friday night that snowfall was heavy as it reached in Arna, Quneitra 25cm,Hosn Suleiman 15cm, Qaddmous 8cm.
Murhej expected the prevailing cold weather, which is below average by 6 to nine degrees, to cintinue till Monday morning where temperatures will start to rise.
Rain falls were as follows over some areas: Quneitra 47mm, Homs 45mm, Sweida 36mm, Crac des Chevaliers 31mm.
