Homs, SANA – Minister of Social Affairs Reema al-Qadiri stressed the need to provide all needs for minors who had committed crimes or felonies in order to make them part of society again.
During opening of a new minor center and a photo exhibition which exhibits paintings by minors on Friday in Homs central province, al-Qadiri highlighted the need to set a treatment plan for each minor.
In turn, head of the center Ahmad Tamraz said the center aims at providing proper education for this group, adding that the center currently hosts 18 minors with a 24-hour care provided by a specialized cadre.
Al-Qadiri also visited an art exhibition and a workshop for hand-made fabrics and cloths, both made by residents of the center. She also paid a visit to a number of martyrs’ families in Tarien village in Homs.
