Damascus, SANA- The temperatures will remain 3 to 5 degrees below average as the country is affected by low air pressure in all layers of the atmosphere accompanied by a relatively cold and wet air mass.
The Meteorology Department expected in its Thursday bulletin that the weather will be partly cloudy to rainy in many areas and that the rainfalls will be heavy and accompanied by thunder, while it will be stable at night.
The winds will be changeable to southwesterly of low to moderate speed, and the sea waves will be low to medium in height, according to the Department, warning of the forming fog in the middle region Qalamoun and al-Ghouta.
The expected temperatures in the major Syrian cities will be as follows: Damascus 20/10, Aleppo 20/11, Hama 21/13, Homs 21/11 and Lattakia 21/14.
Ministry of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform said that the amounts of highest rainfalls during the past 24 hours in the Syrian provinces were as follows:
Damascus 5mm, Damascus countryside 2 mm, Sweida 3 mm, Homs 15 mm, Hama 37 mm, Tartous 10 mm, Lattakia 42.5 mm, Aleppo 15 mm and Hasaka 85.5 mm.
