Russian aircraft loaded with 21 tons of food aid arrives in Lattakia

Lattakia, SANA – A Russian aircraft carrying 21 tons of food and relief aid arrived Monday in Bassel al-Assad airport in Lattakia province, offered by the people and government of Russia to the Syrian people.

In a press statement at the airport, Lattakia Governor Ibrahim Khodr al-Salem thanked Russia on behalf of the Syrian people for the assistance it provides them with, adding that it reflects the deep bilateral relations binding the two nations.

Representative of the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry Alexander Tomashov said that Russia is always ready to help Syria and provide it with all kinds of support to face terrorism and preserve its rights.

The latest Russian aid shipment was sent on May 28th loaded with 23 tons of relief aid.
