Damascus, SANA-Deputy Foreign and Expatriates Minister Fayssal Mikdad affirmed that the legendary struggle of Syria, as people and leadership, against the most powerful challenges confronted by any people in this world is “the Syrian miracle and the future of victory which will embody the achievements of a great nation in different aspects of life.”
“The history of wars, with all its forms, will record that any of the armies that carried on those wars have never withstood as the Syrian army did in defense of Syria sovereignty and independence, in spite of the support offered by Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the US and Turkey to the terrorist organizations,” Mikdad said in an article published by Lebanese al-Binaa newspaper on Saturday.
He added that the most dangerous weapons produced in the modern ages was “media” which is exploited by enemies of Syria to broadcast cheap and poisonous propagandas against Syria, plant seeds of sedition to divide the country, as territorial integrity, through “a generous funding” by the oil kingdoms to fabricate news against Syria.
Mikdad said the US will train what it names “moderate armed groups” under the pretext of combating the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria ( ISIS) and Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist organizations on the Turkish and Jordanian lands, affirming it lies on the American people and the public opinion, adding the US is supporting terrorism and complicating the situation.
He underlined that reopening the files of chemical weapons in Syria by the west is another attempt to blackmail Syria which has abandoned its program, calling on the western countries to subjugate the Israeli weapons of mass destruction under international monitoring.
