Temperatures below average, rain showers expected

Damascus, SANA – Temperatures will gradually drop to become from 2 to 4 degrees lower than average as the country is affected by a low air pressure accompanied by southwestern air currents in all layers of the atmosphere.

In its Wednesday forecast, the Meteorology Department expected that it will be partly cloudy in general and there will be rain showers accompanied by thunder in the northern, coastal, and al-Jazira (island) areas.

The wind will be moderate and its speed will reach 60 mph and the sea waves will be medium to high.

Tomorrow, temperatures will continue to drop to be 4 to 7 degrees lower than average, and local rain showers are expected over most areas, while the wind will be westerly moderate.

Various amounts of rainfalls were registered in the Syrian provinces over the past 24 hours as follows: 10 mm in Hama, 14 mm in Lattakia and 4 mm in Aleppo.
