Syrian research team wins gold medal at Canada International Invention Fair

Damascus, SANA- A Syrian research team won first place and the gold medal in medical innovations at the ninth session of the Canadian International Exhibition of Innovations and Inventions 2024, which was held in Toronto.

756 medical innovations from 50 countries participated in the exhibition, where the medical product developed by Syrian research team won first place in the medical category, and second place in the list of the top ten inventions in all categories participating in the exhibition.

The medical product presented by the Syrian team is an eco-friendly beauty cream made from silkworm extract, rich in silk protein “sericin,” with Syrian seaweed collagen.

The research team consisted of Dr. Chadi Khatib, Dr. Aoula Mustapha, , Dr. Kamile Arnouk, and beauty expert Zen Flloum, and young researcher Shafik Arnouk .
