Damascus, (SANA) Speaker of the People’s Assembly, Mohammad Jihad al-Laham, stressed the necessity of forming a public opinion that rejects the western colonialist plot which is aimed at fragmenting the Arab Nation.
Meeting a delegation of Arab parties and personalities, al-Laham said, “Your presence in Damascus today is evidence of the recovery of the resistant Arab thought and national belonging.”
Speaker al-Laham stressed that the pluralistic presidential elections in Syria are one of the manifestations of victory over the takfiri western terrorist scheme.
He stressed that Syria’s victory over terrorism is victory for all Arabs, the Palestinian Cause and genuine Islam.
The delegation stressed the necessity of reviving the Arab unity to confront the schemes of fragmentation facing the Arab homeland, pointing out that the steadfastness of the Syrian people and the wisdom of its leadership have foiled the conspiracy hatched against Syria’s unity and Arabism.
