Death toll from Ukraine shelling of a bakery in Lysychansk rises to 28

Moscow, SANA- The number of fatalities following the Ukrainian strike on a bakery in Lysychansk, Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR), has climbed to 28 people.

“Operatives from the Russian Emergencies Ministry have rescued 10 people. Unfortunately, 28 people, including one child, died,” the press service of the Russian Emergencies Ministry told TASS.

The agency added that the search-and-rescue operation at the collapsed bakery in Lysychansk in the Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR) was underway. “About 65% of destroyed construction elements have been pulled out,” the press service added.

On Saturday, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman, Maria Zakharova, said that 11 civilians were killed, and that dozens are still under the rubble.

Zakharova stressed that targeting the bakery by the Kiev regime despite of its knowledge of the presence of a large number of civilians on the holiday is a terrorist act that shows the criminal nature of this regime.
