Tourist group visits Busra archaeological sites

Daraa, SANA- A tourist group of European and American nationalities visited Saturday the ancient city of Busra al-Sham in the eastern countryside of Daraa and toured its ancient ruins, citadel, and the archaeological amphitheater.

The Syrian antiquities and their diversity constitute a clear evidence on the importance of the region throughout ages being a cultural stepping stone of all the world, one of tourists said.

The visitors affirmed that Busra Theater is the best theater in the world, adding that the ancient city of Busra al-Sham contains many antiquities of various civilizations.

Another visitor called upon the world humanitarian heritage organizations to play a role in the promotion of the city of Busra, stressing the need to increase support to highlight the true features of this archaeological city.
