Damascus, SANA- Minister of Information, Boutros al-Hallaq, affirmed on Monday the important role of Syrian journalists in light of the circumstances Syria passes through, and their duty to shed light on the citizens’ concerns.
The Minister, during the 2nd annual General Conference of the Journalists’ Union that was hosted by al-Assad National Library in Damascus, Hallaq hailed the performance of Syrian media at the recent Arab summit that proved its strong presence among the Arab and foreign media cadres participating in the summit.
The conference discussed the situation of the union’s work and the difficulties in addition to several issues related to the media employees.
