Syria condemns provocative practices by Israeli settlers against Islamic places in occupied al-Quds-Foreign Ministry

Damascus, SANA- Syria condemned in strongest terms provocative practices carried out by settlers under a protection of Israeli occupation forces against Islamic places in occupied city of al-Quds.

“Syria strongly condemns Israeli’s killings against Palestinian people and provocative acts of Zionist settlers being protected by Israeli occupation forces in Al-Haram Al-Sharif (Al-Aqsa compound) and Islamic cemeteries in occupied al-Quds, in addition to imposing entry restrictions to blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque,” Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

“Occupation forces’ acts of provocation, brutal aggression and killings against the Palestinians along with plunder of holy places in occupied al-Quds is a condemned crime under international law, the legitimacy of human rights and international humanitarian law,” the Ministry affirmed.

Syria hailed, through the statement, the resilience of Palestinian people against Israeli aggression, as well as their heroic steadfastness on achieving their right to freedom and independence.

Syria also reiterated its firm support for the Palestinian people right to establish their independent and sovereign state, with Jerusalem as its capital.
