Syrian Archeological Treasures photo exhibition concluded in Rome

Rome, SANA – The activities of the “Syrian Archaeological Treasures: A Heritage for Humanity” photo exhibition held in Rome was concluded on Sunday by holding prayers for the return of security and stability to Syria at the Basilica of Santa Maria in Cosmedin.

Rector of the Basilica, Father Mtanious Hadad, said in a speech after the prayers that Americans and Europeans continue to conspire against Syria by supporting ISIS and al-Nusra from whom they buy oil stolen from Syria and Iraq and smuggled by Turkey.

The prayers were attended by Archbishop of Jerusalem in exile Hilarion Capucci, clergymen, members of the Syrian community in Italy, and a number of Italian and European families.

After the prayers, the attendants visited the photo exhibition, which was organized by the Syrian community in Italy in cooperation with the Syrian Tourism Ministry.

At the conclusion of the ten-day exhibition, members of the Syrian community delivered an explanation about what is happening in Syria and the terrorism it is being subjected to.

The photo exhibition is due to be held again in the city of Lecce in the south of Italy on February 21st.
