Damascus countryside, SANA- Amid distinguished attendance by the lovers of Arabian horses, the 9th National Show for Beauty of thoroughbred Arabian Horses was launched Friday at al-Basel Equestrian Club in Dimas area, Damascus countryside
The event comes in cooperation with the Office of Arabian Horses at the Ministry of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform and the Syrian Association of thoroughbred Arabian Horses.
The opening ceremony witnessed artistic and musical shows with the participation of Damascus province Club, in addition to other shows by al-Shurtah team.
Vice-President of Syrian Association for the thoroughbred Arabian Horses, Tariq Abdel Rahim, underlined the importance of equestrianism sport in Syria, which has always gained remarkable achievements, last of which was the medals in showjumping competition of the Mediterranean Games held recently in Oran, Algeria.
