Moscow, SANA- Terrorists are imposing royalties on students in return for allowing them to go to Syrian universities, said Oleg Yegorov, Deputy Chief of the Russian Reconciliation Center in Syria.
“To obtain permission to leave the territory of the de-escalation zone in Idleb in order to study in Syrian universities, the militants are asking students and their families for royalties in amounts significantly exceeding the available savings,” RIA Novosti news agency quoted Yegorov as saying in a press briefing on Sunday.
According to Yegorov, such actions are a gross violation of the provisions of the Astana agreements, which guarantee the possibility of moving the civilian population across the border of the de-escalation zone, including for education.
