A new parliamentary friendship group with Syria at Czech House of Representatives

Prague, SANA-The Czech House of Representatives has established a new parliamentary group for friendship with Syria, headed by a member of the House’s Foreign Committee, Jiri Kobza of the Freedom and Direct Democracy Party.

The committee includes seven deputies from the parliament, four of them are from the “Freedom and Direct Democracy” party, and three are from the “ANU” movement, which is the largest bloc in the current House of Representatives.

The former Czech parliamentary group for friendship with Syria had been active for four years under the chairmanship of Stanislav Grospic, but it was dissolved at the end of last year after the new parliamentary elections.

Therefore, the current group is considered a continuation of the work of that committee with new representatives and aims, according to its chairman, to strengthen parliamentary cooperation between Czech and Syria.
