Palestinian Foreign Ministry: Raising provocative slogans on the walls of Al Ibrahimi Mosque is violation of international law

Occupied Al-Quds, SANA – The Palestinian Foreign Ministry condemned the raising of provocative slogans by the Israeli occupation forces and settlers Wednesday on the roof and walls of al-Ibrahimi Mosque in the city of Hebron in the West Bank, stressing that it is a flagrant violation of international law and the Geneva Conventions.

The Foreign Ministry said in a statement, according to Wafa News Agency, that this aggression is an integral part of the occupation’s plans to perpetuate the theft of Al Ibrahimi Mosque and Judaizing it by changing its landmarks and historical and civilized identity with the aim of serving the narratives of the occupation and its colonial schemes.

The statement stressed that this violation and other forms of continuous Israeli aggression against Islamic and Christian holy sites, foremost of which is Al-Aqsa Mosque, is a blatant challenge to the efforts of the international community and an explicit provocation to the feelings of Palestinians and Muslims.

The statement called on UNESCO and the relevant UN organizations to break their silence and condemn those Judaizing measures and implement the relevant international resolutions to stop these violations and end the occupation.
