Activities of 12th Eurasian Economic Forum kick off in Russia with participation of Syria

Moscow, SANA-Activities of the 12th Eurasian Economic Forum kicked off Tuesday in the Russian city of Yekaterinburg, with the participation of Syria.

Syrian Ambassador in Moscow, Riyad Haddad, said in a speech during the “Dialogue on Equal” conference at Ural Federal University that talking about international law in its absence and the lack of its implementation is meaningless.

The Ambassador added that the policy that the West seeks is the policy of power and therefore they seek to turn the world into a jungle.

Haddad said that Syria and Russia enjoy permanent scientific and educational relations, noting that thousands of Syrian graduates from Soviet and Russian universities are now working in their country, and many Syrian students decide to study in the Russian Federation.

For his part, Rector of Ural State Economic University Yaakov Selene stressed that the forum aims to put forward recommendations and proposals that would serve as a bridge between the academic life of young people and the future professional life, especially in the face of current challenges.

He added that representatives of 92 states and 76 provinces in the Russian Federation are taking part in the 12th session of the Forum.
