Syrian national football team ties with Iraq, concludes participation in world cup qualifiers 

Abu Dhabi, SANA- Syrian national football team ended its participation in world cup qualifiers after its draw with the Iraqi counterpart (1/1) in the match that brought them together in Dubai Tuesday.

The Syrian team scored its goal through player Alaa al-Din al Dali before the Iraqi team reached the tie through Ayman Hussein.

With this score, Syria remained in the fifth place with 6 points within group A in the final game within the decisive round , losing its chance to qualify to world Cup finals of Qatar.

Iran and South Korea qualified to the finals immediately after they ranked first and second respectively, while the Emirati team came third and went to the Asian playoff.
