Moscow: Nearly 490,000 refugees from Donbass and Ukraine arrive in Russia

Moscow, SANA- A Russian security source revealed today that the number of refugees from Donetsk, Luhansk and Ukraine to the Russian territory has reached about 490,000 people.

More than 489,000 people have arrived in Russia, including nearly 100,000 children, The Russia Today website quoted the source as saying.

The source added that among those refugees there are more than 411,000 people from Donbass and about 78,000 are from Ukrainian territory.

The source noted that 16.6 thousand refugees arrived during the previous day through crossings the borders of Belgorod, Bryansk, Kursk and the Russian Republic of Crimea.

The source pointed out that daily, more than 15,000 people cross the Russian borders coming from Donbass and Ukraine, adding that more than 24,000 refugees and more than 10,000 children are being held in 355 temporary shelters in 34 Russian regions.
