Syria, Democratic People’s Republic of Korea discuss enhancing educational cooperation

Damascus, SANA- Syria and the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) Have discussed on Wednesday means of strengthening educational relations and exchanging expertise and experiences in a way that contributes to consolidating the bilateral relations.

This came during a meeting held in Damascus between Assistant Minister of Education Dr. Abdul Hakim Al-Hammad and Chargé d’ affaires of DPRK Embassy in Damascus, Kim Hey Ryong.

Dr. Al-Hammad stressed, during the meeting, that the Ministry works on developing the educational process, and benefiting from the Korean expertise and its advanced educational system, as well as a mechanism for dealing with people with disabilities.

He indicated that the Institute for Teaching Arabic to Non-Native Speakers is dedicated to teaching Arabic to diplomats and Korean and foreign communities.

For his part, Kim Hye Ryong expressed his country’s readiness to put its experiences in modernizing schools, institutes, universities and distance education schools, in addition to offering consultations and expertise to contribute to the restoration of schools in a way that enhances bilateral relations.
