Damascus, SANA- A group of Emirati political and cultural figures unanimously affirmed that President Bashar al-Assad’s visit to UAE is an important turning point and a historical event on the way of returning the Arab rank into the track of joint and integrated work in the face of challenges.
‘President al-Assad’s visit to UAE is an indication that Syria’s return to its Arab pioneering position is important and necessary,’ Political and strategic affairs expert, Muhammad Masoud al-Ahbabi told SANA.
Emirati writer, Aisha Ali Al-Bairaq, for her part, described the visit as a distinguished historical event that will change the course of events in the region, and a new step towards consolidating and improving Arab relations through consultation and coordination between both countries.
In turn, Chairman of Board of Directors of Dubai National Theater, Yasser al-Qergawi, said ‘we are very pleased with President al-Assad’s visit to our country, and we hope that security, stability and peace would prevail in Syria.’
