Future priorities of education discussed in Arab Regional Conference on Education Post-2015 in Egypt

 

Sharm El-Sheikh, SANA, Arab Regional Conference on Education in the post-2015 discussed issues and future prospects of education, the persistent challenges and the basic priorities in the future of the educational process in the Arab countries.

The conference, over future priorities of education in the Arab Region Post-2015, is being held in cooperation with the UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and Egyptian Ministry of Education.

The conference resumed its activities with participation of Syrian delegation headed by Education Minister Dr. Hazwan al-Waz.

Minister al-Waz told SANA correspondent Wednesday that participants in the conference will discuss the challenges and educational needs and requirements of the Arab region in the post-2015.

Al-Waz pointed out that the conference constitutes a regional follow-up of the Global Meeting on Education for All (EFA), held in Sultanate of Oman in May 2014 with the aim of benefiting from the goals achieved in the Arab region, including Education for All’s programs and initiatives.

The persistent problems, challenges and priorities that must be observed on the regional level of education in addition to the regional recommendations on education post-2015 that should be adopted in the agendas of the world forums, mainly the Global Meeting on Education for All conference scheduled to be held the Republic of Korea, in May 2015, were also discussed.
