Damascus, SANA The premier screening of the Syrian movie “Lover” took place Sunday at Cinema City in Damascus.
The movie, written and directed by Abdellatif Abdelhamid, narrates the life of a movie director played by Abdelmonim Amayri, starting from his childhood and his first love and his journey to Damascus, where he experiences new pressures and different kinds of relations, including a new love relation with a neighbor played by Dima Qandalaft.
Minister of Culture Isam Khalil said the Syrian cinema is producing unique works that have remarkable depth and humanity and that garner awards and international trophies, adding that the huge
turnout to the premiere proves that the Syrians are resolved to
live their lives normally.
