Syria harvests several medals in Arab Weightlifting Championship, Iraq

 Baghdad, SANA -Syria’s weightlifting team won on Tuesday several medals in the opening of the Arab Weightlifting Championship, hosted by Iraq.

 The Syrian national team’s player, Jaafar Mayya, obtained two gold medals in the Clean and Jerk competitions / junior and youth categories, and a silver medal in the youth category, in addition to a bronze medal in the Clean and Jerk competitions/ men category, and a bronze medal in juniors and men categories.

 Meanwhile, athlete Youssef Suleiman won four bronze medals in the snatch competitions/ juniors, men and youth categories, and a silver medal in the youth category.
