Damascus, SANA- Interior Minister, Major General Mohamed al-Rahmoun, discussed on Monday with Chairman of the State Forensic Examination Committee at the Republic of Belarus, Sergey Evmenenko, cooperation in the field of criminal security, forensic evidence, judicial laboratory analysis and the exchange of experiences in this sector.
During the meeting, minister al-Rahmoun stressed the importance of increasing cooperation in the field of training and qualifying cadres, raising their capabilities, exchanging information, developing DNA laboratories, detecting explosives, drugs and forged documents.
For his part, the Belarus official affirmed readiness of the State Authority for Examinations of Forensic Expertise to cooperate in qualifying and training human cadres in the field of forensic evidence and analyses related to the detection of explosives and narcotics and the analysis of mines.
At the end of the meeting, the two sides signed a memo of understanding on cooperation between the two countries.
