Minister of Transport discusses with Mariani negative impacts of terrorist war on transport sector

Damascus, SANA- Minister of Transport, Zouheir Khzeim, discussed with Thierry Mariani, member of the European Parliament, the difficult conditions from which transport sector suffers as a result of the negative impacts of the unilateral coercive economic measures imposed on the Syrian people.

The Minister reviewed the negative impacts of the terrorist war on Syria on various transport sectors including the land, maritime, air ones and railways, the destruction of roads and bridges by terrorists and the US and Turkish occupation forces.

Mariani and members of the delegation expressed their understanding of the repercussions of Western economic measures on Syria, pointing out that they will convey that situation to the European Parliament and to their peoples, stressing the necessity of relaunching the economic exchange with Syria, and all related issues needed by the transport sector, including spare parts and operating programs and others.
