President al-Assad sends cable of condolence and solidarity to Algerian President over victims of fires

Damascus, SANA-President Bashar al-Assad on Thursday sent a cable of condolence and solidarity to President Abdelmadjid Tebboune and brotherly people of Algeria over the victims of huge fires that erupted in several regions of the country during the past days, asking God to preserve and protect Algeria.

“We feel pain over the disastrous incident that affected brotherly Algeria because of the fires that erupted in the state of Tizi Ouzou and claimed the lives of many victims of civilians and soldiers… and we, in the Syrian Arab Republic, participate with you the feelings of sorrow and pain,” President al-Assad said in the cable.

The President added “We extend to you and to the brotherly people of Algeria and families of the victims the warmest heart condolences, asking God to have mercy on the victims, quick recovery for the injured, save and protect the country from any harm.”

For several days, Algeria has come under a wave of huge fires that claimed the lives of 69 persons, among them soldiers.
