Thirst threatens about one million citizens in Hasaka due to Turkish occupation crimes

Hasaka, SANA- Tanks have become the only way to secure drinking water for the people of Hasaka city in light of the continuation of the Turkish occupation forces in cooperation with their terrorist mercenaries, for the second month in a row, control the pumping of water from Alouk station in Ras Al-Ain area ,northwest of Hasaka, which makes thirst threatens more than a million citizen in Hasaka and its countryside.

Jamil ,one of the locals of al-Aziziyah neighborhood, said that tankers do not solve the problem in light of the large consumption of water with high temperatures, and the provision of drinking water has become a big burden on the people of Hasaka city, which suffer from the absence of many services due to the crimes of the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries which target electricity and water sector.

Abu Badr, from the locals of Ghweran neighborhood, said that the people suffer from violations and practices of QSD militia on one side and the criminal acts of the Turkish occupation on the other.

For his part, Director of Water Establishment in Hasaka, Mahmoud al-Okleh, said in a statement to SANA that Alouk water plant, which supplies the city of Hasaka and its surroundings and the western countryside with water , still operates at the minimum levels due to the crimes of the Turkish occupation and theft of electricity feeding it and operating only one pump and ten wells out of 34 wells .

al-Okleh added that the small quantities of water produced from Alouk station are collected and pumped to the citizens during a period of five days for each sector.
