Over three million beneficiaries from subsidies during month of Ramadan, Makhlouf says

Damascus, SANA- Minister of Local Administration and Environment, Hussein Makhlouf, said that subsidies have been delivered to more than three million beneficiaries during the last holy month of Ramadan distributed throughout Syria, with a value exceeded SYP 35 billion.

Makhlouf’s remarks came during a press conference held after meeting with representatives of charities societies, humanitarian foundations, and chambers of industry and commerce in Damascus- based Sheraton Hotel on Wednesday.

Makhlouf pointed out that the aid varied between food baskets, cash assistance, medical support, clothing and other services for the wounded of the Syrian Arab Army, patients, students and people with disabilities in all provinces, in addition to the charitable markets which spread in several areas and served thousands of families.

The aid distribution was carried out amid logistical facilities by government bodies to complete aid operations in the best possible way, Makhlouf indicated.
