Damascus, SANA- Information Minister, Imad Sarah, said that the current stage is witnessing changes at the technological and knowledge level, and this requires organizing courses that boost the role of journalists and give them the ability to uncover media misinformation and convey the correct information to the recipient with responsibility and awareness, refute rumors, uncover false news and confront the ongoing media war against Syria, which aims to distort the facts and undermine the Syrian state with all its sectors.
The Minister, during a session held by al-Wahda Establishment for publication and Press, under the title ” Acquiring Professionalism in Digital Content of Media,” stressed that the war has moved to social media because it is more widespread and less expensive, and the war that Syria faces has become a military one in addition to the siege and information war, which is the worst kind of wars.
