Damascus, SANA- Syria has expressed extreme comfort over the results of the legislative elections in Venezuela, affirming that they represent a forceful response to the US administration and its tools.
An official source at the Foreign and Expatriates Ministry, in a statement to SANA, said “The Syrian Arab Republic expresses extreme comfort over the results of the legislative elections in Venezuela which represented a forceful response to the US administration and its attempts and tools, and which affirmed the adherence of the Venezuelan people to the principles of the Bolivarian Revolution in the sovereignty, independence and the rejection of the subordination.”
The source added “These elections laid a solid foundation for enhancing the national unity in Venezuela, and consolidating the security and stability which form the main basis for the development process.
The source concluded by saying that “the Syrian Arab Republic expresses sincerest congratulations to the friendly Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela as a leadership, government and people over the success of the electoral process, and affirms that the result of these elections represents a defeat for the approach of arrogance and hegemony practiced by the US.”
