Mini-Committee of Discussing Constitution to hold 4th round on Monday

Geneva, SANA- U.N. Special Envoy for Syria Geir Pedersen announced on Sunday that the 4th round for the Mini-Committee of Discussing the Constitution will start its work on November 30th at the UN headquarters in Geneva.

Pederson said, in a press conference held in Geneva, that after discussions and meetings with the participating delegations and with the Swiss authorities, including the health, we are able to start tomorrow’s meeting.

He wished to see progress on the issue of the Committee of Discussing the Constitution and that this progress to be achieved by the Syrians themselves.

The UN envoy hoped that tomorrow’s meeting will push the political process forward.

Pedersen pointed out the need to work to enhance confidence among the participating parties in meetings and building on what has been achieved during the previous rounds.

The 3rd round of Mini-Committee of Discussing the Constitution was held last August at the UN headquarters in Geneva under the title of “Basic National Principles”.
