Hadad, Primakov discuss situations of Syrian students studying in Russia

Moscow, SANA-Syria’s Ambassador in Moscow Dr. Riyad Hadad on Monday discussed with Director of the Russian Agency for International Humanitarian Cooperation (Rossotrudnichestvo) Yevgeny Primakov means to enhance bilateral relations in the domains of higher education and culture.

Talks during the meeting dealt with the situations of the Syrian students who are studying in Russia in light of the outbreak of the novel coronavirus “Covid-19”.

Ambassador Hadad hailed the scholarships provided by Russia for the Syrian students at different university stages and specializations, underlining the importance of finding new means for helping the students to pursuit their study, particularly in light of the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.

Primakov, for his part, noted that preparing the classrooms at the agency’s representations in a number of countries, including Syria through supplying them with the required equipment and devices that enable students to learn from distance.
