For the 13th day, the crime of Turkish regime continues by cutting off water to Hasaka citizens

Hasaka, SANA-For the 13th consecutive day, about one million citizens of Hasaka province are still without water, and despite international pressures and governmental efforts, the Turkish regime and its mercenaries insist to go far in their crime of stopping the running of Alouk water station, the main source of drinking water to Hasaka city and the surrounding areas.

Earlier, Hasaka Governor Ghassan Khalil affirmed that the Water Establishment’s teams entered Allouk water station in Hasaka northern countryside to start the necessary repairs.

This comes 13 days after the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries shut down the station, depriving nearly one million citizens in Hasaka and its surroundings of potable water.

Khalil said in a statement to SANA that the maintenance teams entered Allouk station and have begun by assessing the situation there in order to carry out the necessary repairs, adding that water from the stations had reached the main reservoirs in al-Himma but in very low amounts, expecting the water flow to increase following the teams’ entry into the station.

Syria’s permanent representative to the United Nations, Dr. Bashar Al-Jaafari,   made a phone call with UN Secretary-General António Guterres , calling him for an immediate intervention  and to exert efforts to end the war crime perpetrated by the Turkish regime against Hasaka citizens  .
