Temperatures to rise, showers expected over coastal areas

Damascus, SANA- Temperatures will continue to rise to become around average or slightly higher as the country is affected by a superficial low air pressure accompanied by western air currents in the upper layers of the atmosphere.

Meteorology Department expected in its Thursday bulletin that the weather will be partly cloudy in general to become cloudy in the evening and at night over the coastal areas and showers are expected over these areas, warning against fog in some inland areas in the early morning.

The wind will be westerly to southwesterly with a moderate speed and gusts whose speed will exceed 60 km/h sometimes and the sea waves will be medium in height.

Different amounts of rainfalls have been registered in different Syrian provinces over the past 24 hours as follows: Deir Ezzor 42 mm, Sweida 7mm, Hama 6mm, Homs 7mm, Aleppo 4mm and Raqqa 17mm and Hasaka 11m.

The expected temperature in some major Syrian cities will be as follows: Damascus 14/6, Daraa 15/6, Homs 14/6, Lattakia 14/19, Aleppo 16/7 and Deir Ezzor 17/8.
