Havana, SANA Syrian and Palestinian students studying in Cuba emphasized that the cause which the people of their two countries are defending is one and the same and the Israeli occupation is the one party benefiting from what is going on in Syria and Palestine.
The students shared the same table, in an indication of them sharing the same cause, during an event bringing together foreign students that was held at the School of Engineering, University of Havana.
Khaled Rafe’, a Palestinian student, stressed his condemnation and that of his colleagues of the crimes committed by the terrorist organizations in Syria in the course of the internationally-led terrorist war waged against it since 2011.
He affirmed that Syria has always been the top backer of the cause of the Palestinian people in their struggle against the Israeli occupation, which is the reason why Syria is now being targeted.
The students took the opportunity to display photos, folkloric fashion and videos on Syria and Palestine during the event.
“We are here to explain our just cause to the foreign students,” Head of the Cuba branch of the National Union of Syrian Students, Yahia Ali, told SANA reporter.
“We also aim at introducing them to the civilization of our country that dates back thousands of years,” he added.
