Army destroys a car bomb driven by terrorist to attack military posts on outskirts of Khan Sheikhoun

 

Idleb, SANA- An army unit has foiled a terrorist attack with a car bomb driven by a terrorist suicide bomber affiliated to Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist organization on military posts at the entrance of Khan Sheikhoun city in Idleb southern countryside.

SANA reporter in Hama said that a car bomb driven by a terrorist suicide bomber affiliated to Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist organization coming from the direction of Sahyoun village attempted to penetrate the defensive lines of the Syrian Army on Damascus-Aleppo International Highway in order to reach military posts at the northern entrance of the liberated city of Khan Sheikhoun.

The reporter added that an army unit positioned in the area destroyed the car bomb before reaching its target.

The reporter indicated that after combing the site of the car bomb explosion, documents which prove the suicide bomber’s affiliation to Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist organization were found, in addition to two assault rifles.

On August 23rd, the Army and Armed Forces General Command announced liberating Khan Sheikhoun city from terrorism after inflicting heavy losses on terrorists in the personnel and equipment.
