Farewell ceremony held for Indonesian Ambassador

Damascus, SANA – The Foreign and Expatriates Ministry on Monday held a farewell ceremony for the Indonesian Ambassador Wahib Abdul Jawad on the occasion of the end of his mission as ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary in Syria.

Deputy Foreign and Expatriates Minister Fayssal Mikdad presented Abdul Jawad with a commemorative plate, underlining in a speech during the ceremony the efforts exerted by the ambassador in improving bilateral relations, particularly during these difficult times.

Mikdad asserted that these relations will continue and will be a shining example of relations among peoples and countries, affirming that Syria will emerge from the crisis stronger than before.

For his part, Abdul Jawad thanked Syria’s leadership and people and hoped that Syria will recover as soon as possible.
