Foreign and Expatriates Ministry receives a Chinese grant

Damascus, SANA- A Memorandum on receiving a grant provided by the Chinese Government to the Foreign and Expatriates Ministry  was on Wednesday signed at the building of the Ministry.

The memo was signed by Assistant Foreign and Expatriates Minister Dr. Ayman Sousan on behalf of the Syrian side and by Chinese Ambassador in Damascus Feng Biao.

After signing the memo, Sousan affirmed that the grant comes in translation of China’s constructive stance towards the terrorist war waged against Syria from about eight years, shedding light on the deep-rooted historic relations binding the two friendly countries.

Sousan added that the grant represents a contribution by the Chinese Government to overcome the repercussions of the unilateral coercive economic measures imposed by sponsors of terrorism on Syria.

For his part, the Chinese Ambassador in Damascus asserted his country’s firm stance towards Syria.

He added that since the beginning of the crisis in Syria, China  has provided humanitarian aid in support of Syria’s steadfastness that have been estimated at 800 million Yuan.

He indicated that he as a representative of his country to Syria, he will exert all possible efforts to enhance the cooperation and communication between the two countries.

The grant includes electronic and photography equipment and scanners.
