Moscow, SANA-Chief of the Russian General Staff Valery Gerasimov on Saturday discussed in a phone call with his US counterpart Joseph Dunford the situations in Syria.
Interfax News Agency quoted the Russian Ministry of Defense as saying that Gerasimov and Dunford underlined the importance of preserving the channels of communication between the Russian and US military in Syria.
The Ministry indicated that the two sides discussed other issues of mutual interest.
