Syria sweeps three golds, one silver and three bronzes in Arab Weightlifting Championship

Tunis, SANA Member of the Syrian national weightlifting team Jaber al-Jassem on Sunday won three gold medals, one silver and three bronzes in the Arab Weightlifting Championship held in Tunisia.

Al-Jassem, 17 years old, participated in the competitions of the juniors, youths and men divisions and he managed to win seven medals in the competitions of the 62 kg category.

The Syrian team is expected to harvest more medals in the competitions of the Championship which will last till next Thursday with the participation of 13 Arab countries.
